The firmware version 2.30 for the Intronik ST metal detector introduced the TI1 filter. Its primary objective is to enhance search efficiency, improve the recognition quality of valuable items, and discriminate against questionable iron. Depending on the search task, soil characteristics, and operating conditions, the user can adjust the boundaries of the TI1 filter and sensitivity settings.
TI1 Filter Threshold (00…-60) This is the threshold for questionable iron based on the single-frequency VDI values of targets. Setting such parameters allows the metal detector to effectively separate colored and iron objects (both small and low-conducting). Using the TI1 filter enables the detection of targets that, due to soil signals, would normally fall into the 'iron' VDI category.
TI1 Filter (100…500) Tests have shown that by setting the TI Fe Boundary value to 400, the Intronik user will be able to accurately identify colored targets (including small and low-conducting ones) that have been displaced into the questionable iron category due to soil signals.
Attention! The filter value can be gradually reduced to detect an even greater number of valuable items, but this also increases the likelihood of detecting iron objects with a colored signal.
TI1 Filter Sensitivity (01…02) Users can independently adjust the sensitivity of the TI1 filter to different targets:
At a sensitivity level of 01, the filter will only process confident signals.
At a sensitivity level of 02, the filter will accept even weak signals.
The filter settings allow for the detection of the maximum number of small colored targets at depth, which due to soil characteristics, may be categorized as iron. However, with increased sensitivity, one should be prepared for a higher number of false filter activations.
