The "M" main menu contains all the essential search settings for the AKA Intronik metal detector. Access to the menu is granted by a short press of the "M" button.
"M" menu settings:
Gain (01…27) - the overall sensitivity of the metal detector. Decreasing or increasing this parameter allows for adjustment of the detection range for objects. When setting the gain, it is important to remember that it affects not only target signals but also phantom signals, electromagnetic interferences, etc. A comfortable increase in gain is usually chosen based on the search conditions.
Speed (-02…00..08) - the higher its value, the faster and at a shorter distance the device can differentiate between closely spaced targets. However, the greater the speed, the shallower the metal detector's operational depth. Therefore, to search for objects located at substantial depths in relatively trash-free areas, it is advised to reduce the speed to the maximum extent, down to -2 and -1.
Identification Sensitivity - the higher the value of this parameter, the more weak, small, and deep signals the metal detector will be able to identify. This setting significantly restricts the device’s sensitivity to detecting small objects.
Detection Sensitivity - used for searching large deep objects in conditions with a lot of metal trash. This setting announces the target from the moment of its detection until it disappears.
Volume of Threshold Tone - this setting is turned off in the factory programs. It represents a constant background sound (white noise) that the metal detector emits during operation. It helps to focus attention on weak signals from deep targets.
Proper adjustment of the main menu parameters can significantly improve the efficiency of search activities on different types of soils.
