The "M1" menu is designed for setting up interference filters and false signal elimination. To access this menu, press and hold the "M" button.
List of "M1" menu settings:
Frequency Offset (-05…0..+5) - mainly used to tune away from other metal detectors operating nearby on similar frequencies. This setting is also useful if there are any other sources of electromagnetic interference near the search area. After adjusting the frequency offset, it is mandatory to re-perform the ground compensation setting.
EMI Filter (Electromagnetic Interference) - intended to reduce false signals in areas near generators of electromagnetic interference (gas pipelines, power lines, substations, etc.). Note that increasing the EMI filter above 08 can reduce the quality of separation for closely spaced targets.
Noise Reduction (-04…00..+24) - works in conjunction with the EMI filter. Its main task is to reduce the sound load of the metal detector when searching on complex ground, in areas with dense vegetation, or where there is a high level of electromagnetic interference.
PRC Filter (off…0050…9999) - serves to cut off signals of ferrous nature, impacts, and hot rocks. The filter is recommended to be activated only if the abundance of phantom targets makes it simply impossible to operate the metal detector. However, it should be noted that at high filter settings, there is a high probability of eliminating deep and valuable items.
Hot Rock Filter and Local Ground Mineralization Level Changes. It is based on VDI values. However, like the PRC filter, the Hot Rock filter can also eliminate deep targets. Therefore, it should only be activated when there are a large number of signal rocks in the area.
It is recommended to adjust the filters in accordance with the characteristics of the ground and targets, as well as the conditions of the search activities.
